New Forums!

Post by Pencil »

I've updated the forums to a new version that should allow for much greater flexibility. Unfortunately, it was a bit of a major change, so the old mining style wasn't compatible. When I get some free time, I'll see if I can make something similar for this version.
Any problems / complaints / suggestions; feel free to post here or shoot me an email :)

Yep.......That's what it needs, some of your Special Styling.
I'm sure it it will be much better than before.

Sheesh! Is this thing blue or what!?!? LOLOLOL

Most everyone is going with this phpBB board. It'll take getting used to but it ain't bad.

It's called, ProSilver but I don't see any silver here. LOL

My other RR hang out has gone over to this very board. If you need any help, jump on over to the HawkDawg's site, sign up, introduce yourself, and tell 'em I sent ya. He'll bend over backwards to help in any way. He's from Georgia... We sutherners are like that, ya know.

Yes, it looks like a big improvement over phpBB2, which we were running before. For example, I think you can now attach pictures to your posts without having to upload them somewhere else first.
I was getting some 60-odd spam users regestering every day on the old board; hopefully this will reduce that somewhat.....

 The power went out at home this week, so I had to reset the wireless network and thought I'd screwed up something when this blue thingy showed up.

I found a tan theme, so hopefully that won't be as upsetting as the blue (until I make another mining theme)

I think I have the gallery tied back into the forum registration (one userlist for both pages). If you have any issues logging into the gallery or forums, please let me know!

Thanks!

I have a request but only because I have a lazy index finger and mouse hand.

Can the, View New Posts, be put at the bottom of all threads, also? It would make it a little easier to jump especially after a long winded thread or after replying to a post?
As it is now, we have to return to the Board Index each time to get to it.
Thanks,
Rick

Heh - I didn't even realize there was a 'new posts' button :D
I'll look into it and see what I can do!
