In-game won't look as nice as the render, though....

Oh that's nice. Looks very much like the A-frame turntable used here in Calistoga around the turn of the century.

Thanks, Norm!

I think it's done. I'll stick it up on the DLS in a couple days, but if anyone wants to take a look before then, feel free: http://www.carsoncarshops.com/files/turntable.cdp. Let me know if you see any issues I missed....

Norm,

This style of turntable is based upon a CPRR design used across their system. Curtis has done a marvelous job, I can't wait to try it out.

Looks and works great but there is one problem, as you can see in your own in game pictures and in my last one there is a distinct black line at right angles to the turntable itself. This is rather obvious in distant views and does not seem to be present in your other turntables.

Hi Norm,

Are you talking about the gap between the two timbers on either side of the track, or something else?

edit: like as in this prototype photo:

edit2: Ahah - perhaps the dark shading on the pit ground? I had seen that, but wasn't sure if it was noticeable enough to fix - guess it is :D

Thanks for the feedback!

Oh, yes the dark shading was what I was refering to. Looks like the texture is smearing and it does extend beyond the pit ground and is noticable in the board boarder and outer ground once the eye is drawn to it.

Oh yes, much much better. Thanks Curtis!

(sorry for the delay in replying. I've been doing a lot of yard work. Real life yard work, like in the backyard, not a train yard)

No worries, I haven't had much time this week, either. I've uploaded the turntable to the DLS, and it should hopefully be available in a couple days.....
