Re: Promontory Stuff

I honestly feel bad for not having TRS19 to be able to enjoy all this neat stuff you guys are putting out for the 150th... Welp, here's hoping I'm able to upgrade by May, and at least I got dis. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/477930272029933580/557681996386795523/tane_2019-03-19_14-46-03-98....

Re: 'T&T All the Way' to Goldfield, NV (1916) - A HO Scale Trainz Layout

Double-post, but I just thought I'd let you guys know I've gotten permission from Pencil42 and Colorado71 to release some rolling stock from them I've reskinned to go with this route, they are a T&T boxcar and combine coach #12, the T&G boxcar, BGRR flatcar and gondola. https://orig00.devian...

Re: 'T&T All the Way' to Goldfield, NV (1916) - A HO Scale Trainz Layout

I stand corrected on the color issue, but the cab lining is pretty plain in the photo you linked as far as I can see. You'll note the four light-colored stripes around the cab panel, as well as thinner light stripes edging the window sills. I can see why you wouldn't have seen it very visibly on th...

Re: Any Updates?

Just playing around in Utah a bit: http://www.pacificng.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=38 Ahh, beat me to it! Oh well... I kinda figured out how to export TransDEM maps into Trainz and tried to do one of my hometown, Daggett, CA, but there's some hills and craters in places where they shouldn't be. Eith...

Re: 'T&T All the Way' to Goldfield, NV (1916) - A HO Scale Trainz Layout

I've been more than a bit absent from this forum, but one thing in particular caught my eye, specifically the BG #12 skin. Everthing else looks good as a rule, but there are a couple problems with #12's skin and lining. As delivered she would've been painted olive green and aluminum, and given how ...

Re: 'T&T All the Way' to Goldfield, NV (1916) - A HO Scale Trainz Layout

That looks great! I picked up the Tonopah & Tidewater book last fall, and thought it would be a fun railroad to model (that and the Las Vegas and Tonopah). Parts of the LV&T are still visible on the road between Las Vegas and Goldfield... I'll tell you what Pencil, the T&T is my absolut...

'T&T All the Way' to Goldfield, NV (1916) - A HO Scale Trainz Layout

Howdy all! Boy it's certainly been a while, hasn't it? ;) I've been a bit busy as of late, sharpening up my route-making skills and recreating a model railway layout I've found on the internet of the Tonopah & Tidewater/Bullfrog Goldfield/Las Vegas & Tonopah Railroad route between Springdale...

Re: North Tahoe Narrow Gauge

And the SPNG would be an interesting route to have, though at its full length (given it's modeled as the C&C also) you're looking at something nearly 300 miles long... Although the traditional line from Keeler to Laws would be interesting. Actually, I was referring to the section between Laws a...

Re: North Tahoe Narrow Gauge

Now that you know how to recreate trains in TS2017 Trainboi1, I'm almost tempted to move my Railroad's of Daggett/T&T project into that simulator and use the profit to help benefit the reconstruction of our museum and railroad depot... But the SPNG Laws-Keeler branch could be something else to s...

I've wondered the same thing myself with the Tonopah & Tidewater, if they managed to last into the 50's. ;)

Re: The Mojave & Panamint Railroad

Beautiful job! The railyard looks well laid out and the route to Ballarat looks magnificent, not to mention the aerial tramway! The stone foundation was a nice addition too, I could imagine how it'd look in real life. ;)

Re: Trainz in the Calico Mountains: Sunrise Canyon/Palm Borate

PCB, Note that I'm looking at the possibilities of procuring diagrams for some locos in the region, notably on the Bullfrog Goldfield and LV&T. If you run across any diagrams of T&T stock you'd like, I'd happily consider it. Very well! It so happens I do have a large number of resources, ph...

Re: Trainz in the Calico Mountains: Sunrise Canyon/Palm Borate

Me too, and thank goodness you were able to recover the route. The locomotives look great but I'm of the "locomotives were never gray" crowd so I would think they would be a bit more like black. Just my opinion and I seem to be in the minority. FYI: T&T 5 and 6 were Baldwin's standard...
